During my recent trip to the charming village of Kenmore, I had the opportunity to stay at the Kenmore Hotel. Nestled by the stunning shores of Loch Tay, the location is as breathtaking as it gets; It's perfect for those wanting a slice of Scottish beauty. The hotel exudes a historical charm that captures the essence of its surroundings, though I must admit, the accommodations felt rather dated and could use a fresh touch. The Poet's Bar, with its cozy ambiance and inviting open fire, became our evening retreat—a pleasant surprise, especially after a day exploring the local scenery. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. I must highlight my culinary adventure at the bar, as the food was indeed a highlight of our stay amidst some of the less favorable aspects of the room. Unfortunately, my stay wasn’t without hiccups. The room had seen better days, with a lack of basic amenities and cleanliness that was hard to overlook. If you're passionate about exploring the outdoors, the nearby Highland Safaris offers exhilarating wildlife experiences, and the River Tay promises great fishing opportunities. While the setting is idyllic and the potential is vast, I left the Kenmore Hotel wishing it could live up to the beauty of its surroundings.
